Try doing: PCIC_OPTS="pci_csc=1 pci_int=1" in /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia. As for the modem, what is it? Is it a PCMCIA modem card? That's a separate problem... and should probably be posted separately... after going through the modem troubleshooting information in the HOWTO. Saying your tools "fail to see it" is kind of vague; I'd need to see system log messages for that one too. -- Dave
