Hi, I've recently installed SuSE Linux 6.0 on a Dell Inspiron 3700 with a 3Com 3CCFE575CT-D PCMCIA card. The card was not recognised so I inserted a 3C589C which worked ok. I then downloaded the pcmcia 3.1.9 build (which I believe has the driver for the other card)and proceeded to install this according to the PCMCIA-HOWTO instructions. However after compiling this the PCMCIA services will not start properly for either card! I've also tried excluding the IO port addresses mentioned above and exluding irq 5 but nothing seems to change the behaviour of it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it working - just the 3C589C for now will do. By the way, Win 98 is also installed on the PC and LILO controls the boot-up process. Regards, Denny Herlihy |
