I have a PCMCIA --> USB converter for a 250 MB zip drive.
All at first appears to work. I can mount the drive, have created a Linux partition with fdisk followed by mkfs, and can write files to the disk. However, I find the all long files copied to the disk are corrupt, with occasional binary garbage injected into the files. Guesses are that either I've done something dumb with the filesystem, or else there is some sort of buffering problem. Diagnostics: cardctl version 3.0.9

Could absence of ide_info cause problem? Are there any places to look for buffer overflows of some sort? Thanks! Michael Marder
