I'm not sure what sort of reference you want to see. I certainly don't know of anything documenting how to do the hardware mod, if that is what you want. Looking at the general PCMCIA specs I have, I'm not even sure how I figured out which was the right pin to cut. Even getting the laptop disassembled is not trivial. I do not recommend this and I'm kind of sorry I mentioned it. I don't know what your CF adapter looks like so I don't know if it might be easier to do the mod there. It would be less risky than cutting wires in your laptop, for sure. -- Dave |
