I think you should check the PCMCIA-HOWTO chapter on resolving installation problems. If loading the i82365 module freezes your system, then you've got a problem with the interrupt probe. There are instructions in the HOWTO for disabling or restricting the probe. -- Dave

Thank you for your quick relpy. Yes. I did. I followed the How-To and tried whole the irq (0 - 15) one by one, but in vain. May you let me know why I cannot see pcmcia_core.o with "lsmod" while I manually insmod this module. Also, why did i82365 give me those messages while I manually installed it by "insmod -pvm i82365.o"? Thank you.
