I have finally got my Panasonic KXL-D740 working. I got it working by specifying a qlogics low level driver in the kernel. I thought I would only need to specify SCSI support and SCSI cdrom support. I did not realize that I needed to specify a low level driver. I still have not figured out hot to install with this CDROM but at least I can do a minimum install and then install the reset via cdrom. I will see if SUSE will help me with the install part.
