You guess was right. I eliminated I/O port except 0x0100~0x04ff. Besides the default IRQ setting in config.opts, I exclude IRQ 3,5, and 10 which are occupied by other devices. Then, it starts seeing my modem and network card. Now their I/O port addresses are same as they are with MS windows. Thanks. Jai
