I have installed RH6.1 on a Sony 505TR and it seems to work
quite well except for one thing. With an active network
pcmcia card in place going into a suspend or hibernate mode
(Fn-F2 or Fn-F12) is the kiss of death. As soon as I try to
"wake-up" the system it comes alive for a brief instant and
then hangs cold. The only course of action is a power down
and wait on the fsck scolding on reboot. My other pcmcia
modem card does not have any trouble with suspend and resume.
Also noticed that if the adapter cable or ethernet cable are unplugged from the ethernet card while it is live this will cause the system to hang also.
I can do a /sbin/cardctl suspend hibernate wake up /sbin/cardctl resume without crashing. Is anyone familiar with this behavior? Is this to be expected? Thanks hghiii ps the card in question is a Linksys etherfast 10/100:PCMPC200
