Question: Trouble with Linksys Ethernet Card

I am trying to get this card working, and every time i insert it i get the following error. eth0: pcnet_reset_8390() did not complete. pcnet_cs: unable to read hardware net address Anyone give me a hand with this?

Without more context, I have no idea. It would also be useful to say what kind of laptop this is. -- Dave
