yes I changed /etc/pcmcia/config : card "Psion 10-100Mb Ethernet"   manfid 0x016c, 0x0023   bind "smc91c92_cs" Thanks for the pointer to the hardware address! If I get the thing going with pcnet_cs I'll post the fix. Mike
