I'm also trying to get the HP m820e up (with the SCSI card supplied by HP), but I fail totally. I'm still using kernel 2.0.36, pcmcia version 2.9.6. Was anybody more successful? Is my problem related to my old (but otherwise stable) installation? Should I upgrade? /var/log/messages says: .... cardmgr{70]: unsupported card in socket 0 .... cardmgr[70]: version info: "KME ", "SCSI-CARD-001", "1" .... cardmgr[70]: manfid: 0x0032, 0x2604 Thank you for your attention. -Stefan
