I'd try booting with the card out, then insert it. There are still issues with correctly detecting cards at boot time with Toshiba chipsets; I can't really sort these things out. If you're curious you could try to pin down exactly which PCMCIA release caused the problem. Quite a long time has elapsed between 3.1.3 and now, and it isn't easy for me to determine what change might be at fault. -- Dave
