If you've disabled PCMCIA at startup, then you need to do a "/etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia start" to start things up properly. You will generally not have any luck loading PCMCIA modules by hand unless you know what you're doing, because the modules interact with cardmgr in non-obvious ways. -- Dave |
