Question: Cross-platform communications problems

I have a pair of the Airport 2.4Ghz wireless cards made by Webgear. (For $130-170 these kits really can't be beaten) Now that I've finally gotten the things to begin connecting regularly I've noticed something annoying... Windows cannot talk to Linux using these things and vice-versa. Is there something I am overlooking? With linux on both ends the cards work fine. With Windows on both ends the cards work fine. Trying to get either machine to see each other when the OSes are different is rather problematic. The second LED flashes as if they were seeing packets from each other, but for some reason simply don't choose to acknowledge them. Is this a WEP thing and if so does anyone know how to break it? ;)
