Sad: Hardware address not showing-up with WaveLAN Turbo

Hi,

I have a Dell Inspirion 7000 running RH 6.1 (kernel 2.2.12-20) with a fresh install of pcmcia-cs-3.1.14. When I insert a WaveLAN card, it beeps, and wvlan0 shows up in ifconfig, but the hardware address is 00:00:00:00:00:00 instead of something useful and it doesn't work. /var/log/messages shows:

kernel: wvlan_cs: wvlan0 Tx timed out! resetting card
kernel: wvlan_cs: Initialization failed!

This card (and others) work fine in a Sony laptop. Where should we look?

Thanks,

Mangk
