Sad: Compaq WL200 Wireless PCI Card not supported?

Forum: PCMCIA Wireless Network Adapter Issues

From: Patrick Neill Patrick

The Compaq WL200 Wireless PCI Card runs with the PrismII chipset and might therefore work with the drivers available from www.aboval.com The PCI card contains a CirrusLogic PD6729 chipset that interfaces the actual wireless interface to the PCI Bus.

I tried to install it with Redhat 6.2 straight from the box and also with SUSE Linux 6.4 updated with the latest 3.1.14 PCMCIA drivers. Whatever configuration options I tried, LINUX would always freeze trying to start PCMCIA.

Has anyone got past this stage and been successful in installing this card.
