Question: Wavelan/IEEE and Alpha Linux problem

PCMCIA Wireless Network Adapter Issues

I've got an Digital Alpha machine running RedHat 6.2.
After a little trouble I got the Vadem VG469 ISA card working
as it should. When I insert the Wavelan card it find the right
card and tries to load the wvlan module. Then it says
initilasation failed. The wavelan card gets an irq and also an io adress. It also shows up in ifconfig and gets all ip setting ok. It doesn't seem to find any mac-adress though.
Has anyone had any similar problem with the wavelancard.
Using the drivers from wavelan's official page is out of the
question because it only exists for intel systems :(
