I tried to compile the pcmcia package 3.1.16 with the wavelan2_cs-6.00 on a system with a 2.0.38 kernel. The compilation fails:

wavelan2_cs.c:149: warning: `spin_lock_init' redefined
../include/pcmcia/k_compat.h:136: warning: this is the location of the previous definition
wavelan2_cs.c:153: warning: `capable' redefined
../include/pcmcia/k_compat.h:259: warning: this is the location of the previous definition
wavelan2_cs.c:148: conflicting types for `spinlock_t'
../include/pcmcia/k_compat.h:138: previous declaration of `spinlock_t'

Do you have any hints?
Thanks a lot so far!

Lukas
