Question: Cannot config. WaveLan IEEE Turbo after kernel upgrade

Forum: PCMCIA Wireless Network Adapter Issues

From: Tim DIckerson n9nu

I am having a problem getting my WaveLan ISA/PCMCIA card to configure properly when i upgraded to the newest stable kernel 2.2.16. With 2.2.15 it detects and configures properly without any problems. I just compiled the new kernel to include all the necessary support and still no go. I have no resource conflicts.... an "ifconfig" shows the "wvlan0" card is present. I also re-compiled the PCMCIA drivers for the new kermel.

I am using Linux Mandrake 7.1, Kernel 2.2.16, pcmcia-cs-3.1.18, and the Lucent WaveLan 802.11 ISA Bronze Turbo card. This is ONLY used for my INET connection... not my home network.

Tnx for help

Tim
