Question: Wavelan as Access Point

What does it take to configure a lucent 11mbps card as an Access Point (AP) like an Airport Base Station?

Otherwise, I can't talk to my main wireless base computer unless I have an actual Access Point doing the talking. If I configure the base computer in adhoc mode, then it can't talk to the AP's.

I've looked at the sources and available docs for the wvlan_cs driver, and didn't see anything about this.

Is this port_mode 2 ? mode 1 = client, mode 3 = adhoc, but what is mode 2 ?

much thanks for any info, or a pointer to it.
