Interrupt or IO port probe failure?

There are two possible reasons for lockups when PCMCIA starts up, with
no cards inserted. It is probably either an interrupt probe failure,
or an IO probe failure. The PCMCIA-HOWTO has instructions for how to
tell them apart, and how to fix them.

Disabling/enabling PnP support may change how your built-in devices
are configured, which can change how these resource probes behave.
