IBM T20 & Xircom RBE-100

I've recently received an IBM T20 laptop, and a Xircom RBE-100 CardBus Ethernet adapter. Now it's time to get this card working under Linux (Slakware 7.1.0 / Kernel 2.2.16).
Is there a FAQ or document floating around about how to make this cardbus device to work, or am I better off waiting for a driver to come out of beta or get a 3com card?
