Question: Xircom R2E100 and Kernel Question ?

1. Has anyone managed to get the new R2E100 Xircom working with the ti8225 chipset as in the Compaq Armada 500 laptops. 2. How do I install the latest Kernel - currently running 2.2.14-5.0, going to 2.2.16-3. After using RPM, it appeared to install, but now after booting the system points to the previous location of /lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0 not /lib/modules/2.2.16-3. Any Ideas ? TIA
