There is a section in the PCMCIA-HOWTO about how to handle unsupported
cards.

You can't just insmod a driver: you need to add an entry to
/etc/pcmcia/config first to tell cardmgr which driver to use for this
card.  After that, the driver will be loaded for you.

Based on the "XE2000" name, I would try both the xirc2ps_cs and
pcnet_cs drivers (the pcnet_cs driver is for "NE2000 compatible
cards", and I suspect this Xircom card may be one of them).
