I've just installed linux for the first time on my laptop. Went surprisingly well except for a few peripherals, (USB (can almost live without), modem (only a winmodem), & ethernet (which I need)
I need help installing my Cardbus card; it's a Xircom R2BE-100BTX Realport 2. I am using Caldera 6.x, kernel 2.2.14 on a Sony Vaio PCG-F430 with 64MB RAM.
Normally I'd RTFM, but the links from this page were down!
Basically, if someone could help me install (bearing in mind I'm a linux newbie, I'd be very grateful!! I'm sure what Ron Pinz said below makes sense to most of you...

I have gotten the Xircom RealPort2 CardBus Ethernet 10/100 (R2BE-100TX) 10/100BASE-T card to work with pcmcia-cs-3.1.8 on a IBM Thinkpad 600X running redhat 6.2 by adding the following line to the configfile:
card "Xircom CardBus RealPort2 Ethernet 10/100" version "Xircom", "*", "R2BE-100TX" bind "tulip_cb" cardmgr generates the following logentry for the card:
