I've just installed linux for the first time on my laptop. Went surprisingly well except for a few peripherals, (USB (can almost live without), modem (only a winmodem), & ethernet (which I need) I need help installing my Cardbus card; it's a Xircom R2BE-100BTX Realport 2. I am using Caldera 6.x, kernel 2.2.14 on a Sony Vaio PCG-F430 with 64MB RAM. Normally I'd RTFM, but the links from this page were down! Basically, if someone could help me install (bearing in mind I'm a linux newbie, I'd be very grateful!! I'm sure what Ron Pinz said below makes sense to most of you... Thanks!
