Question: Problems with cs-3.1.4 and Kernel 2.2.13

Forum: Xircom PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter Issues
Date: 1999, Nov 17
From: Stefan Kapfhammer StefanKapfhammer

Hardware: Toshiba TECRA 8000 with RBEM56-10/100BTX

After a successful run with Kernel 2.2.10 and cs-3.1.4, I upgraded to Kernel-release 2.2.13.

Have error-msg with dmesg:

cs: socket 0 timed out during reset

This happens with BIOS-Setting ToPIC95B and ToPIC97. I used irq_list=10 in /sbin/init.d/pcmcia under PCIC_OPTS. That has worked fine in 2.2.10 Kernel.

After suspending and resuming socket 0 the cs recognised the right card, but cannot access the ttyS* with wvdial nor minicom.

Are there any workarounds available or a specific Kernel parameters to set (build-in/modules)

Regards,

Stefan
