I use SuSE 6.2 with kernel-2.2.13 and pcmcia-3.1.4. I had to disable automatic setting of irq at boot time for ttyS* ports, typing the command "chmod a-x /sbin/setserial", then reboot.

Tecra8000/kernel 2.2.13/pcmcia 3.1.2 Any idea why eth0 timed out (TX hung) when using SIMULTANEOUSLY 10 Mbit ethernet and modem-emulated ISDN with a ipmasq (ipchains) setup? Problems also occur with extensive pinging home lan meanwhile connected to ISP via PPP. the Xircom RBEM56G is assigned irq 10. I saw a few messages in the old forums about eth0 timed out but nobody ever replied to these messages.

It sounds like an interrupt sharing problem; ensuring that interrupts are not lost when both card functions are in simultaneous use can be tricky. This driver doesn't do anything special in this situation. I'm not sure if/when it can be fixed. -- Dave

Hi Dave, I can work with ISDN and Networking at 100-MBit/s simultanous. Are there any tools under Linux where I can check interrupt-problems in realtime while doing both ISDN and Networking? I am not familiar in the C programming language, so I cannot help developing but I can help in testing new releases of pcmcia-cs and kernels in cooperation with the RBEM56-10/100BTX card. B.T.W. Have you descriptions for the AT command-set with the RICK ISDN Kit, I could not find them in the bypacked book or do you know where to get them? Thanks in advance Regards, Stefan

I executed the command as of Message 12/1 and had a partial success. While the card is inserted during boot it is not properly set up. After a short removal and insertion of the card it works fine.
