This may be part of a known issue with NWay. The auto detect feature tends to fail on some hubs and switches if Duplex (half/full) and speed (10/100) are both forced. One of the setting must be left to auto for the Nway negoiation to occur. If both are forced some devices just fall back to a default and you do not get the speed you wanted, or possible a failed network connection all together.
