Nothing in syslog... and nothing in dmesg that looks out
of place (I stupidly forgot to copy the dmesg output I
snarfed onto this partition... if you do need it, I'll
post it later today after I've slept some).
I excluded IRQ 9, and lo, the card popped up on IRQ 10 with exactly the same symptoms, and /proc/interrupts didn't flag anything on 9. Windows System Properties shows IRQ 9 as available, with the DSP on IRQ 10. Windows puts my EtherJet in on IRQ 11 along with a stack of other devices such as the PCI to USB Universal Host Controller, Video card, Cardbus controller and several IRQ holders for PCI Steering. PCMCIA newbie Question - could I force cardservices to force IRQ 11?
