First the easiest option. I'll assume that you've configured your network correctly, and "ifconfig eth0" looks fine (right IP address and netmask, but shows no packets in or out). You might just have an interrupt conflict with some other built-in device. Start by excluding interrupts in /etc/pcmcia/config.opts (there are examples), and see if that helps. The card is using irq 3 now... exclude that and reboot, and it will use the next seemingly-free interrupt. Repeat until either the card works or you run out of options. If that doesn't help... then you might benefit from a PCMCIA driver update. There are instructions in the HOWTO for upgrading your PCMCIA package. -- Dave |
