I think a driver upgrade is your best bet

This is not a clean message log, so it is hard to interpret: it looks
like you restarted the PCMCIA stuff when it was already running.  So
the interesting messages are all earlier in your log, when PCMCIA was
started the first time.

However, my first suggestion would be to just upgrade to the current
PCMCIA driver release, which is now 3.1.13.  There have been fixes in
the Xircom driver between 3.0.14 and now.
