sorry, I have a thinkpad 600e with 2.2 kernel and the error is here's a couple lines before and after the error. Dorm network: Bringing up interface lo succeeded Dorm insmod: /lib/modules/2.2.14-15mdk/net/tulip.0: init_module: Device or resource busy Dorm ifup: Delaying eth0 initialization. Dorm network: Bringing up interface eth0 failed Dorm portmap: portmap startup succeeded thanks for your help
