Question: Xircom RealPort 10/100 and loading module twice?

I have a Xircom RealPort 10/100 ethernet pcmcia card on my toshiba tecra 720cdt using pcmcia-cs and modules 3.1.14 when i boot or otherwise insert the card, the laptop beeps twice and i see in dmesg output that the driver module has been loaded twice, everything works, i just want to know if there is a way i can stop the driver from beeping twice and loading twice.
