Can you turn off power management of just the PCMCIA card? No. That is a function of your laptop BIOS, and there is nothing Linux can do about it. Do you have to reboot to deal with this? No. Obvious workarounds include... ejecting the card before you suspend, or doing a "cardctl eject", then inserting or doing "cardctl insert" after you resume. It is also possible to tell apmd to handle the eject and insert commands. Ideally, this driver would be fixed so that it could recover from a suspend/resume cycle. But it is not the best written driver. -- Dave |
