hi!
I got the card working all fine on Dell Latitude. I downloaded the PCMCIA package after which it atleast started recognising the card. Even after this I had lot of troubles 'coz the eth0 always used to give a failed message but pcmcia used to work fine ( I know, 'coz the 2 beeps on inserting the card means that all's well). at bootup. then I noticed something. Aftr booting up & login as root, if I started network (/etc/rc.d/init.d/network )start it worked. I saw that during boot up the network was executed first then pcmcia was executed. this is absurd, 'coz the network requires pcmcia to be runnig to be able to access the card. I changed the sequence (by swapping the numbers, I had S10network@ and S45pcmcia, and I made them S44pcmcia & S45network). These links are there in the /etc/rc.d/rc.d directory. it worked like a charm. So all of u ppl, who have similar prob, try this one out. no need to do anything after this. All the best. Aishvarya
