README.sym53c500_cs

This is the low-level Card Services driver for various PCMCIA SCSI adapters
that are compatible with the Symbios Logic SYM53C500 chip.  It has been tested
with a "newer" (circa 1997) version of the New Media Bus Toaster.

It is based on the qlogic_cs driver by David Hinds dhinds@allegro.stanford.edu
and the NCR53c406a SCSI driver which is part of the Linux kernel.

So far it has been tested on only one adapter card with one hard disk, and one zip
drive under the pcmcia-cs-2.9.11 package.

INSTALLATION:

Unpack (tar -xzf sym53c500_cs.tar.gz) in the source directory for pcmcia-cs.
Then following the normal make and install procedures for pcmcia-cs will install 
this package also.
